According to many of my wine club members, the wine produced here should be given its own AVA because of the unique set of flavors which shine through on an annual basis. While most of the grapes which become wine under the estate’s name are grown on site, a few vineyard patches are purchased from Carneros in order to give the winery a substantial Pinot Noir program. Located on the Silverado Trail (which runs parallel to the more famous Highway 29) this winery makes a nice stop while wine tasting in the area, especially since pretty much every wine grown and produced on the estate has reached the 90 point range. Additionally, the wines are difficult to find making it all the more worthwhile.
